The end result can be one printer showing up anywhere from one to six times. BY DEFAULT, Windows searches for AND DISPLAYS, every printer it can find. And on a halfway large network, that&#8217;s likely to be A LOT. With the result that our main printer appears under about three different names &#8211; the one it gave itself, the one I tried to give it, and the one I explicitly edited on the PC.<\/p>\n<p>Pay \u00a3160 or so for the toner and the printer is free. I would rather pay \u00a3160 or \u00a3200 for the printer and get the toner for \u00a330 or less. I have a very old HP LaserJet 2300DN for which a re-manufactured toner cartridge is less than \u00a320.
